COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Level III Lower Quadrant "pulls it all together”. Advanced assessment techniques are taught to tackle the more difficult patient scenarios. Higher-level treatment approaches integrate the articular, neuromeningeal and myofascial components. This course will focus on treatment techniques. In this 6 in person-day format, there will be considerable independent work, accessing online lectures and completing readings, which will be part of the material you will be responsible for on the exam. You will be provided access to the site prior to the course. In addition, there are six 2 hour synchronous sessions with the instructor.

Orthopaedic Division Member: $1,621.50

CPA Member: $1,815.50

Non-Member: $2,012.50

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Option 1: One time payment of entire course fee online

Option 2: After-pay (4 installments).

To participate in the instalment payment plan, you will pay an initial upfront registration fee of $500, followed by 3 additional payments throughout the course.

Payments will be due following the clinical weekends, on the following dates:

December 11th

Rhonda Reardon

Rhonda Reardon graduated form the University of Saskatchewan in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy(BScPT) and a BSc in Physiology. She completed the Diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 1996. She chaired the NSOS and was the co-chair of the National Orthopaedic Symposium in 1999. She has also taught at Dalhousie University as a lab instructor for the orthopaedic modules in the Physiotherapy School. She is currently the Clinic Manger of the Dalhousie Physiotherapy Clinic.

Alison Beaton

Alison Beaton graduated from Dalhousie University in 2003 and received her Advanced Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2009; her MClSc From Western in 2012; and Sports Diploma in 2014. She spent much of her career with the Cirque du Soleil, has held Orthopaedic clinical positions all across Canada and volunteered both with National level sports teams and in communities in South Africa and South America. In Halifax, Alison is co-owner of and works at Scotia Physiotherapy, and instructs in the orthopaedic assessment and gross anatomy labs at Dalhousie University. Alison brings a unique perspective to teaching orthopaedic assessment and problem solving in treatment.

CLOTHING: As this is a practical course, the participants should bring shorts and a comfortable top.
